The function menu allows you to enable / disable features, calibrate sensors and change modes, please see the chart below.

The menu function of the touchscreen thermostat allows you to easily change a number of settings giving you total flexibility over your thermostat.
The large number displayed shows the function number and the small number to the bottom right of the screen shows the value it is set at.
In the example to the left it shows function 1 (mode select) with the value of 1 which is air and floor. You can use the arrow buttons to change the value accordingly.
Mode select (Function 1)
Mode select is used to set the thermostat to either air & floor, air only or floor only. Most installations will be set as air and floor. Kitchens, bathrooms and south facing conservatories are normally set at floor only (if set to air only or air and floor then the thermostat must be approximately 1.5m high from the floor).
Air sensor select (function 2)
The thermostat has the ability to accept a second wired probe (not supplied) which can be used as an air sensor. The thermostat also has an inbuilt air sensor which is selected by default. To switch to the wired air sensor press the M button until a large 02 appears and chane the value to 2. If no sensor is detected an error will display as P2 in the large display and "err" in the small display.
Calibrate room temperature (function 3)
This function is used to ensure the displayed room temperature is correct, this function is used in air only or air and floor mode only. You will need a seperate thermometer to accurately measure the room temperature and adjust the temperature acordingly.
Calibrate floor temperature (function 4)
This function is used to ensure the displayed floor temperature is correct, this function is used in floor only or air and floor mode only. You will need a seperate thermometer to accurately measure the floor temperature and adjust the temperature acordingly.
Set the floor temperature limit (function 5) Air & Floor Mode Only
This function is only used in air and floor mode, this will limit the floor temperature and acts as an overheat protection device. Set the temperature to the maximum allowed for your floor covering which is usually 28 Degrees C. (default is 28 Degrees C)
Set frost mode temperature (function 6)
Frost mode is use when a room or property is not in use and will protect the floor(ing) from adverse cold, when the thermostat is set to frost mode it will not activate the underfloor heating unless the temperature falls below this set temperature. The default is 5 Degrees C, to alter use the up or down arrow.
Setting the switching differential (function 7)
The switching differencial is used to determine the reactivation temperature after the setpoint is reached. i.e. based on the switching differential is set at 1 degree and the room has reached its temperature of 21 degrees C the underfloor heating will reactivate when it drops to 20 degrees C.
If the differential is set to 2 then the heating will not reactivate until the temperature drops to 19. Having the switching differential set at 2 may prolong the life of the thermostat controller but there may be a possibility of slight discomfort due to the temperature fluctuation. Default is 1.
Consumption information (Function 8)
This function simply displays how many hours:minutes the thermostat has supplied electricity to the underfloor heating, if you know the rated wattage of your underfloor heating you will now be able to work out your overall running cost of the heating.
Averages, some people will take the last 7 days consumption to calcuated the running cost, then may times this by 52 weeks to work out the running costs. This is not an accurate way to work out annual running costs as it may reflect a higher running cost in winter or a lower running cost if calculated in the summer.
Display temperature selection (Function 9)
Simply enables you to toggle between degrees C or degrees F. Default is C, use arrows to toggle.
Set number of setpoints (Function 10)
Allows you to set 2 or 4 setpoints, 2 setpoints would usually be used in rooms that require heat once a day i.e. Shops, offices, occasional rooms. 2 setpoints will allow the heating to be activated and deactivated once where 4 setpoints allow the underfloor heating to be activated and deactivated twice. the default is 4, use the arrows to toggle.
Disable thermostat backlight (Function 11)
Simply used to enable / disable blue backlight on button press, by default while the thermostat is settings are being altered the blue backlight will illuminate, after 20 seconds of no activity the light turns off. Simply use the up down arrows to toggle backlight function.
Disable keypress tone (function 12)
Disable the kepress beep use the up down arrow to toggle.
RES (Function 13)
Its a secret and we are not telling you.
