| Installing on a tile roof | |
|
The first step of the installation is to obviously ensure that you have assessed the risk of working at heights and follow the precautions to reduce any risk of falling under health and safety. You can now start the installation by pushing the tiles up, they should slide quite easily under the tile above. You will need to push a number of tiles up to expose the rafters to attach a 1inch x 3 inch batton.

Secure the batton across the rafters using suitable large screw, it is highly advisable that you create pilot holes before inserting screws to reduce the risk of splitting the wood. Ensure the measurements are correct and place the roof anchor on the batton and secure in the following manor.

| Installation Step 3 | |
|
You should have a layout similar to that on the left. The measurement of X and Y will vary dependent on the type of installation (Please consult you manual for measurements). Once you have checked all the measurements are correct you can now pull the tiles back down over the batton and roof anchors to create a water tight roof. |
