Planning permission finally granted for Eco-Offices
Posted On: 11/11/2009 Author: Allbrite UK Ltd

Over the years Allbrite has been fighting hard to gain planning permission to turn an old derelict farm into an office and warehouse complex which will be the new premises for Allbrite UK Ltd.

Allbrite’s vision which can now be a reality is to have an office and warehouse complex that will be as close to carbon neutral as possible and be self sustaining for many years to come.

Some of the technologies that will be incorporated into the new project are solar water heating, solar photo voltaic, energy efficient underfloor heating, wind turbines, recycled pallet wood blocks, rain water harvesting, fresh well water, self contained sewage system and more.

Russell White says “This is an adventurous project but we intend to improve with every project we carry out, pushing the limits when ever we can, “it has been a long and hard battle to gain planning to make this vision a reality”.

As a successful business owner Russell White together with his research and development team strive to improve technologies and improve efficiency within the domestic and commercial sector.

The first project was a simple renovation of a domestic dwelling where underfloor heating and solar water heating was used to reduce the overall household energy bills to only £32 a month (Full story on reduce running costs).

With the success of the domestic dwelling Allbrite looked closer to home and furbished its retail showroom with solar PV panels, Solar water heating, Energy efficient lights, underfloor heating and a grass roof for insulation. The Eco-showroom now benefits heavily with little to no running costs.

With the success of the first two projects it makes perfect sense to push those boundaries further and build a commercial property from scratch where it can be a walk in demonstration in a real life situation.

Russell says “In order to be able to sell a product you must first believe in the product, we have had many different variations of all our products installed and tested to the limits for durability as well as efficiency. “It is surprising that many companies sell products, yet do not have them installed in their own property” Russell continues to say “We carry out long term tests before we release any of our products to the market, with this new project we have a blank canvas to test all the products together in one location”.

The aim of Allbrite UK Ltd is to reduce running costs wherever possible, gas and oil is going to run out which only leaves electric as a viable energy source, Allbrite have pioneered in bringing out energy efficient products at low prices.
