Allbrite offers free courses for plumbers and electricians

Allbrite UK is to run free training courses for plumbers and electricians to update them about latest cost-saving eco-technologies for the home.

It will pass on its expertise about the affordable technologies now available to home owners to generate solar powered hot water and under floor heating systems to professionals in the region.

Allbrite UK owner and director, Russell White, says technology has advanced rapidly and busy plumbers and electricians do not always get the chance to stay updated on the latest developments. Russell said: "Clearly it's beneficial for us for more people in the industry to stay abreast of new ways in which solar power can be used, but it's also important for tradesmen and their customers to be as informed as possible about what is available."

Many people, including plumbers, still believe installing solar power into homes is prohibitively expensive. This is no longer the case as is shown by its increasing use around the world.

In these days of very high gas and electricity prices, it's also now cheap to install with the payback being just 3.5 years. Running costs can be dramatically reduced with our systems. We installed eco-systems in our three-bedroom home in Northop Hall and reduced the cost of gas and electricity for one year by 80 per cent to £371.

We will be running free half day practical courses to small groups, explaining some of the latest technologies and demonstrating how properly installed and used state-of-the-art systems can save householders hundreds of pounds on utility bills.

The courses will be for small groups of up to four CORGI/GAS SAFE qualified plumbers and qualified electricians, ensuring participants have the opportunity for hands-on practical training.

Allbrite is the UK's leading distributor and installer of flat ribbon under floor heating. It also runs what is believed to be the only eco-retail showroom in the UK, on Chester Street, Mold. The showroom uses solar panels for hot water and photo voltaic cells to generate electricity for heating and lighting, so operates with no heating and lighting costs. An eco-garden on the roof also provides insulation.

The first course is scheduled to run in the week of 20 April and will be for plumbers, covering solar generation of hot water. Under floor heating courses for electricians will follow. To enrol on one of the free courses call Palmo on 01352 757557. For information on Allbrite UK visit www.allbriteuk.co.uk
