When installing under floor heating with tiles, slate, stone, etc. there are two systems that are suitable.
The flat ribbon under floor heating is the favoured choice for Allbrite however the cable mat under floor heating system is very effective in this type of installation.
The cable mat under floor heating may lend itself better to awkward areas with lots of fixed furnishings i.e. bathrooms & en-suites.
When installing under floor heating with tiles it is highly recommended that a suitable rigid insulation board is used which is a minimum depth of 10mm.
It is also important when installing under tile heating that a flexible tile adhesive and a flexible tile grout is used. Allbrite recommend the use of granfix tile adhesive and grouts.
Granfix have tested their adhesives and grouts with our under floor heating systems and endorse the method of installation.
